eXceeding’s team of procurement experts is growing
We are delighted and, frankly, really quite excited to announce Michelle and Courtney have joined our growing team of Procurement Consultants.
Firstly, let us introduce you to Courtney…
Courtney Creighton is a global purchasing contract and project management specialist, with experience spanning both the private and public sector.
During Courtney’s engagement in a Public Sector Healthcare Contract Manager role, she studied and achieved an MCIPS in process management, to add to her previous Prince2 practitioner qualification, which means she can confidently lead whether in a project management or procurement role.
Courtney is extremely personable and a real team player but also a strong and confident leader. Her project management background has enabled her to build key stakeholder management skills at all levels, whilst seeing a high level of return on savings against budgetary requirements.
She has extensive experience of working with reputable business names such as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and HealthTrust Europe and has managed the successful delivery of major HR, IT & Telecoms projects within a global organisation.
Drawing on her experience in leading deep dive exercises within a purchasing organisation, Courtney can help organisations identify and support effective changes within processes to ensure compliance.
Although she’s lived in the UK for the past 10 years, Courtney hails from Memphis, TN, home of rock-n-roll, and is proud to be a lover of country music. She’s stayed close to her American roots, as a keen American football fan (in fact nicknamed ‘The Cheerleader’ by her previous co-workers) and her two teenage daughters also have ‘the American dream’ to move there in the future.
Courtney loves to travel, to read and to invest time in self-development. She cites her biggest (non-career-related) achievement to date as completing the London Marathon in 5hrs 45mins and raising over £5k for Breast Cancer Care Group, yet somehow she still professes not to be a runner. With that result, we’d beg to differ Courtney – what an achievement!
And now Michelle…
Michelle Lansley is an experienced senior procurement consultant, with over 20 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors, including central and local government, financial services, IT & telecoms, media, security and transport.
We’ve already learned that Michelle is strong, assertive and very likeable, which is probably why clients tend to speak so highly of her and her work.
She is well known for her positive, ‘can do’, mentality and is a skilled stakeholder influencer - and collaborator – at C-suite level, which has helped her to move countless companies from greenfield to tactical operations, and strategic sourcing and category management.
Michelle has significant complex software, cloud, managed services, commercial and contractual experience. She has worked on client facing IT projects with organisations such as the Security Industry Authority, British Standards Institute (BSI), British American Tobacco (BAT), Electricity North West (ENW) and many other private and public sector clients.
She also has extensive international experience in IT, having managed major Software as a service (SaaS) deals with vendors including Microsoft, Salesforce, IBM and Oracle.
Michelle has managed procurement teams for Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, across HR, FM, Transport & ICT, supporting the council and local schools, as well as tendering for implementation projects such as solutions to provide borough-wide broadband improvements and the development of a high tech/med tech campus.
Our newest procurement consultant is CIPS (and previously Prince2) certified and highly experienced in the drafting of RFI/RFP/SQ/ITT documentation. Her knowledge of EU procurement legislation, the drafting of robust and bespoke contracts and contract management has all helped her to deliver hundreds of thousands of pounds of negotiated savings for her clients.
Michelle prides herself on being the person who people like to come to – whether that be in work or in life in general. She’s especially neighbourly, having recently sorted out the residents’ issues within her newly built block of flats and, as a result, is now the ‘Go To‘ person for the residents with anything to do with the developer and management agency. Whatever the problem, she won’t give up until she finds the answer!
She admits to trying anything in the quest for her son to think she’s ‘cool’. Recent attempts include roller skating, watching football, cycling, climbing and paddle boarding even though she reports that she is often the last one huffing and puffing at the end!
(We feel a challenge coming on Michelle!)
Courtney and Michelle join eXceeding at a particularly exciting point of growth, as we embark on a number of new projects across the UK, within both the private and public sectors.
We very much look forward to introducing them to our clients in the coming weeks. If you’d like to hear more about how they, or the rest of the team, can help, please feel free to contact us:
